Aftercare
Our Outposts
Mighty Oaks provides two options for local veterans, service members, spouses and Mighty Oaks Warrior Alumni to find support, healing, and camaraderie. They can be found through Official Mighty Oaks Outposts and through Affiliate Outposts. These meetings aim to support each other as the members continue to grow and face challenges pre or post programs and is essentially our aftercare and accountability program. Outposts are run by Mighty Oaks Program Leaders and carefully vetted organizations and are in strategic partnerships with affiliate churches and organizations for support and quality supervision. It is at these weekly meetings where our commitment to “Never Fight Alone” becomes reality, and the purposeful life is practiced.
What Happens in a Meeting
Each weekly meeting is guided by one of our Outpost Leaders, who has received Mighty Oaks Leadership training. Attendees learn strategies and successes in combating the challenges of PTS, combat trauma and daily challenges utilizing the program curriculum and group interaction. Attendees discuss resources and support one another during their various journeys of recovery. Monthly recreational activities with the attendees are common at most outposts.
Who May Attend
If you are a current member of the military, a spouse or a veteran who struggles from reintegration, PTS or combat trauma and you are interested in building a life of strength, courage and purpose you are welcome to attend. You don’t need to RSVP or bring anything. All of our alumni are also encouraged to participate, not just in order to connect with others but also so that they may inspire and lead.
Marriage Advance: Love Never Gives Up
To be eligible to attend this program at least one from the couple must have successfully completed either the Men’s or Women’s Legacy Program first. Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs will sponsor couples attending by covering the entire programs cost along with lodging during the scheduled dates of the session. We have partnered with Family Life (A Cru Ministry) in an effort to help couples grow and strengthen their marriages, to last their lifetime, after one or both have attended a Legacy Program. Family Life offers a unique program called Weekend to Remember. With a motto of Great Marriages Don’t Just Happen, couples are invited to attend so they can invest in one another strengthening their marriage and home by understanding God’s blueprint for marriage. The Weekend to Remember offers multiple sessions at 95 locations with select sessions geared toward a military family. The couple attending would only be responsible for their own travel to and from the location and meals. Please let us know your preferred location in the notes box when filling out our application.
Official Outposts
Mighty Oaks Outposts are located across this great nation to support our current and future Alumni by providing pre and post-care for living a purposeful life. These Outposts are operated and facilitated by Mighty Oaks Leaders who have been trained and certified through the Mighty Oaks Leadership Training Program. They are Alumni who have come through the programs as a student at one point and made the decision to continue helping others as they have been helped. Through peer-to-peer mentorship, counseling and discipleship these Outposts provide a familiar environment for those who are searching for the camaraderie and friendships that is so familiar to the military community.

Affiliate Outposts
Mighty Oak’s Affiliate Outposts are a network of vetted ministry partners who share our heart and vision to serve our Warriors and Families through biblically based peer-to-peer models. Whether you attend an official or affiliate outpost program, you will be reconnected to a network of brothers, sisters or couples with the same goal in mind… to lift one another up from the ashes to be Mighty Oaks, to be the leaders and warriors that God has created us to be.
