The middle of December brought a group of men who didn’t know one another but had all gotten off azimuth with their walk in Jesus or had never been on that path in the first place. Serving as a Team Leader, I have seen many times through this journey, the very beginning of the week is quiet and faces are dreary, and these hurting men are looking for help with their inner pain and fears and anxiety. Almost all of that would change in a mere 4 days.
Nahum 1:13 “For now I will break off his yoke from you, And burst your bonds apart.”
We all have aches and pains from our service – physical that is – like our backs, knees, hips, shoulders, or you name it. We all wake up sore and in pain from our service to this Nation, but most all of us volunteered to serve. There are many ways to alleviate the pain, whether it be surgery, adjustments, physical therapy, or even injections and medication. What are we looking for? To get well, to feel better and heal.
Psalm 25:18 “Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins.”
Just the same with the final Men’s Legacy program of 2022. We asked the men: “Do you want to get well?” The reply was 100% yes! That takes courage and trust, and these Warriors were up to the challenge. The Holy Spirit was well at work as always at Sky Rose Ranch.
John 5:6 “When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?””
Through the Word of the Father, these men put down their masks and dug in and did the hard work to find the root causes of their trauma, and with the guidance of the Great Healer – God, miracles happened and heavy weights were lifted off these men during this special week we call Men’s Legacy.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
As we are on our individual walks in Christ, sometimes we get just a bit off azimuth and over time, this error (sin) in our lives can take us way far away from Jesus. With the help of other Christian Men in our lives and the tools learned at the Legacy Program, we can be held accountable and overcome obstacles that the enemy places in our paths.
Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
There were numerous recommitments to Christ that week and five baptisms that I personally witnessed. When we align ourselves with Christ, we walk the straight path, then together we can serve God, our families, and then everything else in our lives after those priorities. This class left Sky Rose in alignment with God. Praise Jesus!
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
