Twenty-five women from across the country gathered at Skyrose Ranch in San Miguel, CA, for the first Women’s Legacy Program of 2025. We started the week with rainy weather and the ladies arrived carrying some heavy burdens, as well as anxious feelings about what to expect. Many had a fear of opening up, especially with other women they didn’t know. But quickly the leader’s testimonies, similar stories, shared struggles, and genuine care broke down walls and created a safe space for vulnerability.
Throughout the week, it was evident that God was at work, as these courageous women gained a deeper understanding of the hope that comes from aligning their lives with Christ through classes, testimonies, fellowship, and group discussions.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Toward the end of the week, the clouds cleared and the sun came out allowing the ladies to enjoy God’s beautiful creation up at the ranch. Just like the rain had nourished the ground and the trees all around us, the teaching of God’s purpose and plan for our lives revitalized their hearts. The understanding of where our worth comes from and our God-given purpose gave these women clarity and hope to move forward as they pursue authentic, Biblical womanhood.
Although life’s challenges did not disappear while we were at Skyrose for the week, the Lord worked profoundly on hearts and in minds. He gave hope to walk through life’s challenges differently, with our focus on Him and who He created us to be.
Lamentations 2:22-24 It is of the LORD‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
